Also known as Tippy Dam Pond, this 1,540-acre body of water was formed over 100years ago and has been a hub for recreation ever since. Today, it sits as a peaceful, largely undeveloped wilderness, perfect for paddling, fishing, and wildlife watching.

A Unique Wilderness Experience

The Tippy Dam Backwaters mark the confluence of the Pine River and the Big Manistee River, with additional tributaries like Hinton Creek, Snyder’s Creek, and Peterson Creek feeding into its waters.
